Within the framework of the 100th anniversary commemorations of the Great War there is plenty to look forward to in the Westhoek in 2015.

What not to miss in 2015?

The number of tourists visiting West Flanders almost doubled in 2014, as the start of the First World War Centenary focussed attention on Belgium's former battlefields.
West Flanders has released details for its commemoration of the world’s first use of gas in war, which will take place in Tielt in April.
2015 is going to be an important year in the commemoration of the First World War in Flanders Fields.
The public tourist organisation Westtoer has reported that tourists to First World War sites in August and September are double on last year and now expect the year total to reach 750,000
