Yser Tower, Diksmuide

Visit the Yser Museum / Yser Tower in Diksmuide. From the top floor you have a beautiful view of the polder landscape, the city of Diksmuide and the Yser.

Peace Mill, Houthulst

The Peace Mill was an important observation point during the First World War. The tower is freely accessible and offers a 360 degree panoramic view.

Belvedere Tower, Kemmel (Heuvelland)

With its 159 m the Kemmelberg is the highest point of the Westhoek. From the Belvedere tower you can even see Lille in the distance.

Church Tower Hooglede

The church tower was a vantage point for the German occupier during the First and the Second World War and was destroyed at the end of the First World War. Today the tower offers a fantastic panorama.

Church Tower Mesen (Messines)

On the outside of the dome of the church tower, at a height of 37 metres, a new tour will be realized. From up there you get a fantastic panoramic view of the hills of Heuvelland and Messines Ridge.

Church Tower Zonnebeke

After various renovations, the church tower will be opened to visitors within the project ‘Horizon2025’. The viewing platform offers a wide view of the entire region, including the Flemish mountains, the mid-West Flemish hill ridge, Ypres and even the Yser Tower. In April 2019, the exhibition ‘Signed Landscape - Church Tower Zonnebeke’ opens.

Westfront, Nieuwpoort

On the sluice complex stands a monument for the fallen Belgian front soldiers and their commander King Albert I. On top of the monument you can enjoy a panoramic view of the IJzer plains and the city of Nieuwpoort. New Visitors Centre since 2014!
