Peace Village
The Peace Village Hostel lies in the heart of Flanders Fields on the Messines Ridge. It's the perfect base for a visit to the former battlefields in Flanders and the North of France. The landscape surrounding the hostel is dominated by the silent witnesses from those days. In the evening at sunset, we provide atmospheric walking tours to the local cemeteries and memorial parks. On request, we can recommend sites linked to your local area or interest. But the 'Westhoek' is also a synonymy for enjoying the good life. After a great cycling tour on the hills of Kemmel, you can relax in one of the vineyards or village pubs with a local delicacy. We are happy to help you tailor your itinerary.
The Peace Village has a capacity of 165 people in comfortable and spacious en-suite studios. In the restaurant, our chef prepares all meals with fresh ingredients whilst you can enjoy the local beer of the month in our bar. The Hostel also provides a number of meeting and conference rooms, free to use for our residential guests. Also, our large outside grassed area includes a basketball court, bicycle storage, two football pitches, camp fire site and volleyball net. After a long day, you an relax on one of our three terraces. A full School Travel Audit check is carried out regularly and we have a strong working relationship with many UK Tour Companies.
